By 1997, volunteers had begun clearing brush, laying paths, and installing basic infrastructure—much of it accomplished through donated time and materials.
The first formal space, the Memorial Garden, was completed in 2002. Afterward, additional themed gardens were gradually added as funding, donations, and volunteer energy allowed. Over time, the garden expanded into 22 distinct themed areas, evolving from a simple nursery into a tranquil botanical destination.
Notably, the entire property continues to be maintained by volunteers, while plant sales and donations help support ongoing growth. As a result, the garden stands as a living example of long-term community stewardship.
